Day 1 Fly from London Gatwick to Luxor. Transfer to the SS Karim, for seven nights. Sail to Esna for overnight.
Day 2 Visit Esna Temple, then to Kom Ombo.
Day 3 Visit the temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Aswan. Afternoon cruise by felucca or private boat to Kitchener Island Botanical Gardens and Elephantine Island. Also included is a visit to the Nubian Museum.
Day 4 Visit the High Dam and island temple of Philae.
Day 5 Optional excursion to Abu Simbel (4 hrs by road each way). Sail to Edfu for overnight.
Day 6 The day is spent sailing to Luxor.
Day 7 Visit to the West Bank includes the Valley of the Kings, temple of Queen Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon visit the temple of Karnak and Luxor Museum. Luxor Temple private reception.
Day 8 Transfer to Luxor airport for the return flight.

Day 8 Fly to Cairo and travel to Alexandria (4 hrs) for three nights at the 5-star el-Salamlek Palace Hotel, a former royal residence.
Day 9 Full-day tour visiting the National Museum, Roman Theatre, Catacombs and Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Day 10 Travel to Rosetta, an old Ottoman port where the Nile meets the sea and the Rosetta Stone was found. Visit the museum and view old Islamic and Ottoman houses. Return via Qaitbey fort.
Day 11 Travel to el-Alamein to view the British and Commonwealth cemeteries and Military Museum. Continue to Cairo for four nights at the Mena House (see page 56 for description).
Day 12 Full-day old Cairo excursion includes the Coptic churches and museum, Gayer-Anderson Museum, Ibn Toulon Mosque and Abdeen Palace.
Day 13 Full day visit to the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, bazaars of Khan el-Khalili and Mohammed Ali Mosque. Optional Sound & Light at the Pyramids.
Day 14 Visit the Pyramids and Great Sphinx, Memphis and Saqqara.
Day 15 Return flight direct from Cairo.
